Vaginal pain and bleeding affects a woman’s external genital organs and it’s usually the result of an infection. Begin a strange sexual disorder, doctors still don’t have enough knowledge of what exactly could cause the pain, and many women don’t receive a proper diagnosis. Also, there is no certain evidence that sexually transmitted diseases can cause vaginal pain.

Researchers think that vaginal pain could be caused by a nerve injury, by genetic factors that affect the vulva and make it respond badly to inflammation and, sometimes, by an infection or a trauma in vulvar cells. Vaginal pain can also develop quickly if the genital organs are exposed to chemical substances that can cause allergies and irritation. Frequent antibiotic use, a history of sexual abuse and hormonal changes can lead to vaginal pain. This illness interferes with women’s need to have a normal life, preventing them from having pleasurable sex, exercise, work or socialize.

All vaginal pain symptoms are painful. The most common ones include burning, stinging or rawness causing vaginal intercourse pain. Aching, itching, soreness or throbbing – all have a deep effect on the quality of life. Some women may experience vaginal pain after sex or during sex. Women who are pregnant may feel vaginal pain pregnancy which could be a sign of a urinary tract infection because the position of the body’s organs starts changing once the baby grows. A vaginal pain pregnancy could also by a symptom for hormonal changes and it will go away once the baby is delivered. In the meantime, women should try getting plenty of sleep, eating a well-balanced diet or experimenting relaxations techniques.

The solutions that the doctors have developed by now are effective only in keeping the symptoms under control and relieving the pain, not in treating the illness. Medications may include a local anaesthesic, vaginal estrogen creams, antidepressants or anticonvulsants and nerve blockers. In treating vaginal pain it is important to use only dermatologically tested detergent for washing your lingerie so irritation could be prevented. Unscented toilet paper is also indicated as well as cotton underwear and tampons. Avoid washing the genital area with soap or perfumed creams and stay away from hot tubs or pools with chlorine. To cut back on vaginal intercourse pain, use water-based lubricant during penetration. Applying ice or frozen gel packs over the opening of the vagina can help decrease vaginal pain after sex.

If you suffer from irregular bleeding outside the regular period and vaginal bleeding pain it could be a sign of infection or hormonal changes. The pain can be treated with antibiotics, a hormone therapy or with a simple change of contraception. A rigorous self-help solution for vaginal bleeding pain translates in placing a hot water bottle or a warm pack over your abdomen. If applied regularly and with consciousness, these remedies can help reduce vaginal pain and bleeding.

Pain is one of the many vulvodynia symptoms and it can make it uncomfortable for patients to sit still for a long time. Vulvodynia is a strange sexual disease which, in simpler terms, means “a pain of the vulva”. It is also known as “chronic vulvar pain” consisting of discomfort, stinging, irritation and rawness in the area around the opening of the vagina (vulva). If not treated, the condition can persist for months or years.

Because the causes of vulvodynia remain unknown (doctors have come so far as guessing them), the treatment options that are available will only ease the pain away and mildly reduce the discomfort. Some doctors even recommend that a cure vulvodynia support group should be initiated for helping women cope with this problem.
While suffering from a painful vulva, all of the symptoms will concentrate in the genital area. They include burning, soreness, itching, stinging, rawness and a painful intercourse. This condition has developed as one that is distasteful and women refuse to talk about it, although it is a very common condition. The idea of a cure vulvodynia support group could turn the treatement into a more pleasurable one.

The patient who suffers from vulvodynia should know that there are two forms of the condition, dysesthetic vulvodynia and vulvar vestibulitis syndrome (VVS). In Dysesthetic vulvodynia, the pain is spread out throughout the vulvar region and it can be constant or stop for a period of time and then appear again. There are not physical symptoms other than minimal inflammation of the vulvar tissue, while the vulva looks normal. This particular form of the condition is characterized by the fact that women feel pain without touching or pressuring the vulva, while women with VVS feel pain when pressure is applied to the area surrounding the opening of the vagina. Women with VVS may experience it when they have sex, insert a tampon, take a gynecologic exam, ride a bicycle, a motorcycle or a horse. Tight clothes, such as jeans, can also amplify the pain.

No matter what type of vulvodynia affects a woman, this condition imposes drastically limitation on her life. Her capacity to engage in normal activities is damaged and she faces limitations. When the pain becomes severe, sexual contact is impossible and some physical activities are restricted.

Vulvodynia treatment is not meant to definitely cure the condition, but only to ease its transition until the patient has no more symptoms. Biofeedback therapy can help relieve pain by controlling body responses. It can teach you how to relax the pelvic muscles that usually contract in anticipation of pain and intensify the feeling. Local anesthetics will provide temporary pain relief. They can be applied half an hour before sex to reduce discomfort. Surgery will be performed only if there is a case of an extremely painful area. It consists of removing the affected tissue and skin so that vulvodynia symptoms could be reduced.

Vaginismus treatment is available for women that suffer from vaginismus. Vaginismus, or vaginism is a sexual disorder characterized by involuntary spasms of the vagina muscles. Women with vaginismus are not able to engage any kind of vaginal penetration, such as sexual intercourse, insertion of tampons or penetration during gynecological examinations. It is a condition caused by the involuntary reflex of the pubococcygeus muscle which makes the vagina tense suddenly. In most cases, penetration is possible but with pain. However there are more severe cases in which penetration is completely impossible. In any of these cases, women should look for vaginismus help at specialized doctors because it is curable.

Vaginismus help should be sought in order to establish what is causing the condition and treat it because the condition will not cure by itself. Treatment for vaginismus is different depending on the underlying cause. Vaginismus treatment may include psychological therapy, especially for women with primary vaginismus. This type of vaginismus may be triggered by an attempted sexual abuse, domestic violence, having been taught that sex is immoral. Primary vaginismus is also associated with fear of pain during the first penetration. Primary vaginismus cure means normally to take care of the psychological issue either with the help of a therapist, either on their own. Treatment for vaginismus may also be physical, meaning desensitization with vaginal dilators. In this type of treatment, the dilators have the shape of a phallus and their sizes increase gradually as the woman progresses. Currently, doctors are using Dysport (a type of Botox) to treat vaginismus. This newly described treatment proved to be efficiently used at the same time with vaginal dilation, curing most of the cases (90%), with no complications or recurrences.

Vaginismus is a serious sexual problem due to the inability of the women suffering from it to have sexual intercourse with their partners. It can become a real issue in the couple and may lead to emotional problems for both women and men. Vaginismus cure exists, so the condition may be reversed with the adequate treatment but it is very important that the woman understands when the condition was reversed so she can relax and enjoy intercourse. Most of the women are still waiting for the pain even after the underlying causes were removed. However, most women with vaginismus are able to engage in different sexual activities besides sexual penetration. Sometimes, the sexual partners can have difficulties in understanding that the woman avoids intercourse because of her pain and emotional distress. So, vaginismus may become a real issue in a woman’s life on long term. Women who suffer from dyspareunia are more likely to get vaginismus. Also, society’s expectations regarding women’s sexuality has recently been proven to have a great impact on women suffering from vaginismus.

Vaginismus treatment is available for any of its sufferer and once the cause has been indentified, the condition may be cured, fact that can improve their sexual lives and the relationships with their sexual partners.

Vaginal dryness is a frequent issue for a woman during and after menopause, who finds herself unable to lubricate properly and in search for menopause vaginal dryness remedies. Although scanty vaginal lubrication can occur at any time in life, the symptoms of vaginal dryness are the same, no matter the age – itching and stinging around the vaginal opening and in the lower third of the vagina.

Vaginal lubrication is a natural and healthy process of the female body, consisting of fluid that moisturizes the vagina. The production of lubricating substances is accelerated when the body is sexually aroused. But when menopause, childbirth or breast-feeding set in, they all interfere with the process, bringing hormonal changes. Vaginal dryness affects a woman’s sexual life because it makes intercourse uncomfortable so it is imperative to learn what causes vaginal dryness.

Vaginal dryness remedies can be applied only if the patient knows what caused the condition. One main cause is the reduced estrogen level that occurs because estrogen (a female hormone) is essential in keeping the vaginal tissue lubricated by maintaining a normal moisture flow. The vaginal lubricant also acts as a natural defense mechanism against all sorts of infections. So that is why when the level of estrogen decreases because of hormonal changes in the organism, so does the natural barrier of the vagina. Childbirth, breast-feeding, menopause, hormone therapy, immune disorders or smoking – this whole range of processes causes vaginal dryness, one of the many strange sexual disorders.

While searching for causes of vaginal dryness, the doctor may perform a pelvic exam, during which your pelvic organs will be checked and your external genitalia and vagina will be visually examined. You may also be required to give samples of vaginal secretions which will be checked for signs of vaginal inflammation or a sample of urine if you have associated urinary symptoms.

Estrogen therapy is a remedy used for vaginal dryness treatment. Usually doctors recommend topical estrogen rather than oral pills because vaginal estrogen doesn’t decrease testosterone levels, which are very important in sexual function.

Vaginal dryness is a problem because women who suffer from it lack pleasurable intercourse and they feel a constant burning and itching feeling in the vaginal area. When you begin looking for vaginal dryness treatment, you should know that there are some vaginal dryness natural remedies you could try. During sexual intercourse, try using a water-based moisturizer or lubricant. You can also use the other kind that imitates normal vaginal lubricant and relieves dryness. When initiating intercourse, make sure you get fully aroused before penetration – it is the best vaginal dryness natural remedy. Also, having sex regularly can help to accelerate vagina lubrication, but keep in mind to focus on your body and explore different ways to moisturize it. In your search for menopause vaginal dryness remedies, never use soap, hand lotion, bubble bath foam or yogurt douches because they will aggravate your condition.

In understanding sexual addiction a very important step is properly defining the illness. Sexual addiction is a disorder that affects someone’s behavior by creating an unusually strong sex appetite and developing sexual obsession. Sexual addicts have their thoughts filled with sex-related issues and could develop an attraction towards exhibitionism, voyeurism, molestation, prostitution, compulsive masturbation or cybersex.

Sexual addicts tend to engage in constant self-stimulation, multiple affairs outside marital life, multiple one-night stands with anonymous partners, compulsive use of pornography, computer of phone sex as well as unsafe sex or prostitution. Also public displays of sexuality, voyeurism or stalking and sexual harassment could make a person a sex addict. In treating sex addiction, individual counseling, support groups or marital and family therapy pay an essential role. Medications are also prescribed in some cases because most of the time a sex addict can’t control his behavior although he feels a great amount of satisfaction from his actions.

Sexual addiction treatment has to be prescribed taking in account the fact that the patient lives in denial and can’t rationalize his actions. Sexual addiction recovery can be effective once the individual accepts and admits that he or she has a problem. Usually this happens once a major crises or a regretful event happens in an addict’s life and affects him financially or emotionally. The main focus of a sexual addiction treatment should be controlling the addictive behavior and helping the patient regain a healthy sexuality. Receiving information about safe sexuality, individual therapy and counseling are the best ways in treating sexual compulsivity. Another effective program that is available is the 12 step recovery group. Medications are used because specialists think that sexual addiction is a form of obsessive-compulsive disorder. By taking Prozac or Anafranil, a patient could feel that the compulsive nature of his addiction may decrease.

The process of sexual addiction recovery can be slow and ineffective at first, but once the addict understands that abstaining from any form of sexual obsession could help him return to a healthy sex life, he will start making progress in sexual addiction counseling. Recovery doesn’t follow a straight path, but a predictable one. At first, the addict must realize his or her problem and be willing to change their addictive behavior. The patient must understand the role addiction played in his life and learn how to value himself as a person, rather than as a sexual object. The key is to achieve a new sense of their personality and their mission in life. An individual suffering from sexual addiction will feel treated like an outcast by society. Sexual addiction has been acknowledged as a major social issue once specialists started comparing it to drug addiction or alcohol addiction. Still, most people find it unsettling to meet a person that has an obsession towards sex. This fear is part of not understanding sexual addiction and the refusal to stop treating addicts like stereotypes.

Premature ejaculation is a male sexual condition which can be treated but in order to be reversed it is first necessary to cure premature ejaculation causes. This disorder refers to the inability of the man to prolong the time before ejaculation. With other words, a man who suffers from premature ejaculation, ejaculates earlier than he or his partner would desire him to. It can become a serious issue in the couple, but it can be overcome. Most of the time, it is caused by emotional factors, stress, anxiety or an unhealthy lifestyle.

Curing premature ejaculation may take a long time. However, efficient treatments are now available. Premature ejaculation is quite difficult to diagnose since “premature” is a relative term considering that what may be sufficient for some men, may be not enough for others. From this point of view, premature ejaculation is also a matter of how high expectations are. Still, the condition may get severe and in some cases this means that the man is ejaculating even before penetration. Antidepressants for premature ejaculation treatment may be considered, such as clomipramine (Anafranil), fluoxetine (Prozac) and sertraline (Lustral). The Masters-Johnson method is also an effective technique to treat premature ejaculation. It involves co-operation between the partners, and it consists in using the finger-grip in order to remove the desire to climax. If used for longer periods of time, it may prove to be very efficient.

If you are thinking you may be ejaculating too early, you should first learn how to prevent premature ejaculation. There are few techniques with the help of which many men can solve their issues. One of the first techniques on how to prevent premature ejaculation is self distraction which means that whenever you are too aroused and you feel like climax is beginning, think about something else, something that will make you feel less aroused. You will be able to maintain an erection so you can go on. Another technique is the “stop and start” method which refers to the withdrawal of the penis when it feels like climax is close, so you can give yourself some time to relax and this will also prevent premature ejaculation. More foreplay also prevents rapid ejaculation, as well as masturbation. These are only few ways of how to stop premature ejaculation. Another thing that you should know about how to stop premature ejaculation is that desensitizing the end of the penis with specific creams or by wearing thicker condoms may also help. These methods are also used for premature ejaculation treatment in mild cases.

In most cases, to cure premature ejaculation causes means to improve the man’s self-confidence and to work on his emotional issues, but treating this condition proved to be more effective when there is support and communication in the couple.

Erectile dysfunction or ED is a sexual dysfunction that affects most of men at a certain point of their lives, is a disorder that has a great impact on the sufferer’s sexual and social lives but it is important to know that it may be overcome with adequate erectile dysfunction treatments. Men who suffer from condition are not able to hold or maintain an erection sufficient enough in order to perform satisfactory sexual activities. Studies estimate that 10% of men will suffer from impotence problems in their lives.

Erectile dysfunction causes are various. It may be a result of both physical and emotional factors. When the cause is psychological, the disorder is called psychological impotence and this is the case when erection cannot be maintained due to thoughts or feelings. Other erectile dysfunction causes are related to cardiovascular diseases or diabetes, neurological problems or hormonal disorders. Male impotency may also be a side effect of different types of medication. It is important to find the underlying cause of the disorder so it can be cured with specific erectile disorder medication.

As with all other medical condition, the treatment is administrated depending on the cause. In cases in which erectile dysfunction is a result of hormonal imbalances, testosterone may be used. The effect of the treatment, even when erectile dysfunction medication is used, is however temporary. This means that they may help in maintaining an erection long enough for sexual intercourse, but they do not remove the underlying cause so the disorder has a large probability of recurrence. In order to cure erectile dysfunction medication can be given. Oral drugs that can help improving the erection are Viagra, Levitra or Cialis but they only work when there is sexual stimulation. When these fail, alprostadil or androskat may be injected into the penis right before intercourse. Also an active lifestyle, particularly aerobic exercises may help in keeping the condition under control and improving it. Erection can be attained with the help of an external vacuum pump and surgical implants are also available. However, implants are irreversible and expensive. In most cases, in order to cure erectile dysfunction medication is given but this is only effective when there is a physical cause which needs to be removed. Otherwise, counseling should be considered even if it may be uneffective since men find it very hard to talk about this issue.

Erectile dysfunction may have a great impact on the sexual life of the sufferer. However, once a man has been diagnosed with this sexual disorder it does not mean that his sexual life has ended. As mentioned above, there are many types of treatment available to cure it. Sexual functions may also be improved with the help of alternative medicine. This includes niacin, zinc, copper, pine bark, gingko, and horny goat weed. The best thing to do, is seeking for a medical opinion in order to get the adequate erectile dysfunction treatments which improves the patient’s situation most of the times.

According to the dyspareunia definition, dyspareunia is a sexual disorder characterized by painful sexual intercourse which can be a result or either medical or psychological factors. It most commonly occurs in women, but it can also happen with men. It is a reversible condition even if it lasted for longer periods of time. In most of dyspareunia cases, the cause is physical. However, in some cases it may be triggered by emotional factors.

The pain felt in the abdomen during intercourse is called collision dyspareunia. Collision dyspareunia is most of the time the result of a too hard hit of the cervix by the partner’s penis. However, dyspareunia is not the only condition that causes pain during sex. Painful intercourse may be caused by genital infections, skin conditions such as vaginismus or some types of medication that may affect the arousal. The condition affects the couple’s sexual life since the woman does not feel pleasure but pain. As a result, the lubrication of the vagina decreases which makes penetration painful. Even after the condition is taken care of, some women still cannot enjoy intercourse because they are waiting to feel pain.

Deep dyspareunia treatment is available and it consists in identifying the source of pain and removing it when the source is a physical one. It is very important to inform women that once the cause was removed they will not feel pain anymore. An important step in deep dyspareunia treatment is making sure the vagina is well lubricated before penetration. Couples can use different types of lubricates such as the water-soluble lubricant. Oral sex is recommended before penetration because it stimulates the clitoris, getting the woman aroused, and the vagina becomes well lubricated as well as dilated which will reduce pain from friction. Most of women feel pain during deep penetration so in some cases is recommended a change in the coital position so it does not admit very deep penetration. Anyhow, dyspareunia treatment does not include specific medication that cure the condition itself, but the underlying causes.

According to dyspareunia definition, dyspareunia should not be taken as a disease, but as a symptom of an underlying medical condition which could be infections, endometriosis, the pelvic inflammatory disease and many others. It is important to visit a doctor as soon as you think you may have this condition in order to treat the physical underlying causes. Dyspareunia recovery should be an easy and fast process as long as the cause has been removed. However, most of the women have trouble recovering from it from psychological reasons. Even after treatment, most of the women feel, or think they feel pain just because they are waiting for it to occur. Good communication with you partner and time should anyhow solve the problem.

Now that you know what is dyspareunia, if you think you might have it you should visit your doctor so he could treat the causes before the condition affects your relationship.

Both women and men are likely to suffer from different types of strange sexual disorders at one point in their lives. Any type of sexual dysfunction or abnormality that causes difficulties in any stage of sexual activity in couples is considered a sexual disorder. The most common sexual disorders are the sexual addiction, erectile dysfunction, dyspareunia, premature ejaculation, vaginal dryness, vaginal pain, vaginismus or vulvodynia. The risk factors are different on each type of disorder and they can be physical or emotional. It is brought into our attention that people suffering from different forms of anxiety or depression are more likely to develop a sexual disorder caused by emotional factors.

Dyspareunia is a female sexual disorder. It is characterized by the presence of pain in the abdomen during sexual intercourse. It is considered more a symptom for an underlying cause and it can be treated after the removal of the initial cause. Vaginismus is another sexual female disorder which consists in the involuntary contractions of the vaginal muscles. Penetration is painful and sometimes impossible for women with vaginismus. Vaginal pain may be a symptom of different conditions, from infections to dyspareunia. Vaginal pain during intercourse may be caused by vaginal dryness, which means that the vagina is not lubricated enough in order to allow painless penetration. Vaginal dryness may be as well a symptom of the female sexual arousal disorder. The female sexual arousal disorder is similar to frigidity, but a different medical condition than anorgasmia or general loss of interest in sexual activity. It is characterized by the persistent or recurrent inability to attain an adequate lubrication level of the vagina during sexual arousal and sexual intercourse. Women with vulvodynia experience chronic vulvar pain. It is a strange condition especially because doctors did not find a cause for it.

The hypoactive sexual desire disorder is a condition that can happen in men and women. The hypoactive sexual desire disorder is one of the many sexual dysfunctions characterized by the lack or total absence of sexual fantasies and desire for sexual activities. In order to be considered a disorder it must exist for longer periods of time and its presence cannot be a symptom for other medical conditions or a side effect from medication. Premature ejaculation is a sexual disorder in men which can lead to serious emotional issues. It is a condition in which the man ejaculates earlier than desired, both for him and his partner. It is a curable disorder which occurs to most of the men at least once in their lives. Its causes may be emotional or physical. The inability to maintain erection during intercourse is called erectile dysfunction , condition that can also lead to emotional issues or frustration since the man cannot hold an erection long enough to be satisfactory sexual performance. The sexual addiction is a disorder that affects more men than women. An individual is sexual addicted when he or she is not able to manage his or her sexual behavior.

Strange sexual disorders are common medical conditions that occur in most sexually active women and men at least once in their lives.
